Do you hate shopping? Use my top four tips for how to make the most of it.
First: Dress to shop
YES! It’s important. Dress light. Most of the stores are overheated, so think twice before putting that parka on. You are gonna sweat and regret. You will already have enough to carry!
Second: Have a rough idea of what you need
I don’t know about you but when I go food shopping if I don’t already have an idea of what I want to eat, I end up with a bag of bread and a jar of pickles. Other than helping me to maintain my weight from drinking far too much wine, it is not a helpful strategy for shopping. Make sure you have an outline of what you need, otherwise you will go home disappointed with your choices and will ask yourself why you even bothered going in the first place. Or, if you are like me, you will buy something for the sake of it and bring another black jumper home. It happened to me many times, until I took action. I still wear those jumpers as a reminder.
Third: Don’t impulse buy
When something catches your eye and you get that got to have it feeling, before heading to the till, ask how can I style this? What will I wear it with? Otherwise there is 70% chance it will end up living in the corner of your wardrobe with the tag on.
Forth: Invest in quality, your worth it
Invest in your clothes like you would invest in yourself. When you get a new TV or a computer do you take the cheaper one? NOPE. So why wouldn’t you do the same with your clothes? You deserve the best sister! Invest in quality, you will thank me. Your clothes reflect who you are, be timeless.
